How does a counting machine detect fake notes?
Machines check security features while counting. UV looks for fluorescence, MG and MT check magnetic ink and the security thread, IR checks infrared patterns, and dual-CIS machines compare an image of each note. More sensors mean better detection; mixed-value and dual-CIS machines check the most features.
What is the difference between a loose-note and a mixed-value counter?
A loose-note counter counts how many notes you load, so you sort denominations first. A mixed-value counter recognises each denomination, so you can load a mixed bundle and see the total amount and the number of each note.
